Ankur Jit Shaha

Mr. Ankur Jit Shaha is one of the directors of the Northern Electricity Supply Company Limited (NESCO). He was born in a renowned Hindu family in Sirajgonj district. He has completed his SSC and HSC from Rajshahi Board with a distinguishing mark. Later he has obtained B.A from Rajshahi University in 1986. He also completed M.A in 1988 from Department of History, University of Dhaka.

He had actively taken part in student politics in his school life to date. Being a successful political figure at present, now he is serving as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Awami League central sub-committee and also an active member of Bangladesh Awami League, Sirajgonj district branch. 

He also holds the position of Communication Secretary in the Jogonnath hall alumni association and is also involved with the alumni association of the Department of History, University of Dhaka. He is the vice president of Bongobondhu Somaj Kollan Parishad central committee and He is one of the trustees of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust of The Ministry of Religious Affairs. Apart from this, he is designated as CEO-2 at the Kumudini Welfare Trust of Bengal ltd.  Besides his political career, he is also a successful businessman.
