Mr. Muktadir Aziz is one of the Directors of Northern Electricity Supply Company (NESCO) Limited since March 3,2020. He is a Deputy Secretary to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and is currently working as Private Secretary to Dr. Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury BB, Hon’ble Adviser (Minister) to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Affairs.

Born in Noakhali, Muktadir had his early education in Maijdee PTI and Noakhali Zilla School. Later he obtained a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka.

Muktadir started his career as a member of the Bangladesh Civil Service in 2005. After receiving training at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center (BPATC), he worked as an Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate at Kushtia Collectorate till January, 2009. Then he served as an Assistant Director at BIAM Foundation under the Ministry of Public Administration.

Muktadir went to Queensland International Business Academy, Australia to study for a diploma in Business in 2010.

On his return to Bangladesh, he served as a Senior Assistant Secretary to the government (Ministry of Public Administration), and was later posted as Deputy Director, BMET under the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment. Then he worked at the Cabinet Division from 2012-2015 in the same capacity. There he helped to conduct CCEA and CCGP meetings as a desk officer. Later he served as the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Madhupur, Tangail.

Muktadir has participated in various local and foreign trainings from different renowned institutions like Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center (BPATC), Administration Academy, Bangladesh Military Academy, Administrative Staff College of India in Hyderabad, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) at Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, India, Qindao Municipal Intellectual Property Service Center in China, JICA counterpart training for Power & Energy Sector in Tokyo, INSTEP, Petronas in Malaysia and Institute of Energy (IE) at Dhaka University.
