Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Alim is one of the Directors of Northern Electricity Supply Company (NESCO) Limited since 07 May, 2017. He was born in a respectable Muslim family of Natore District in 1972. He is a former Dean of Civil Engineering Faculty of Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET). He has completed his Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from RUET, Bangladesh. Dr. Alim also has completed his M. Engineering Degree from Saitama University, Japan & Ph.D degree from Okayama University Japan.

Dr. Alim joined as Lecturer at RUET in 1998. At present, he has been serving as Professor (Grade-1) in Civil Engineering Department of RUET. During this period, Dr. Alim hold many administrative posts of RUET like Head of Department of Civil Engineering, Head of Department of Building Engineering and Construction Management, Director of Planning & Development, Controller of Examinations, Syndicate Members, and Member of Different Recruiting Committees etc. He has taken part to National and International Conference at home and abroad and published around 40 papers and articles. He has obtained various Local and Foreign Training from different renowned Institutions.
